Business Development Representative

Our client is a VC funded and backed SaaS tech start-up specialising in business solutions software.
Due to overwhelming success and planned expansion, they are looking to expand their sales team with Account Executives & Business Development Representatives.
This is a prospecting to appointment setting role, will report directly to the founder and work very closely with the marketing team to generate qualified leads.
Responsibilities:Sales funnel; prospecting to software demonstrationProspecting; marketing campaigns, cold calling, generating & qualifying leadsBook meetings, run discovery calls, deliver software demos with product teamRun discovery sessions, identify product suitability for prospective clientsRespond to inbound sales inquiriesInbound & outbound lead generation depending on pipeline statusRequirements:Proven commercial outbound sales or business development experienceSME or SMB sector experience (highly desirable, not essential)Track record of hitting appointment setting targetsExperience with business development tools (Apollo, Lusha, Mailchimp, etc)Experience working with marketing to generate leads, organise or attend industry eventsSoftware or SAAS sales experience (highly desirable)Non-technical requirements:Proactive sales mentality, you aren't afraid of BD/outbound salesMethodical BD/sales approachUnderstand what needs to be done based on pipeline statusCustomer-focused approachStrong communication skillsHigh commitment to quality (no shortcuts)Team player, support and guide peersCritical thinkerBenefits:Join a scale up with a truly unique & innovative productProduct with strong value proposition with little competitionLed by founders embedded in the industryWork with modern technology, products and servicesJoin a talented team with flat structurePositive and supportive team cultureHealthy sales culture with no egosExcellent work-life balance and flexibility (hybrid 3 days/week in office)Genuine career progression to leadershipOn offer is a competitive salary ($90,000 + super + uncapped commissions) with the opportunity to progress to leadership as the business grows.
