Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant - Engineering to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Engineering.
This position will work collaboratively with other technical staff to provide an integrated and highly responsive support service.
The position will assist with:
Purchasing Repairs and maintenance Logistics Preparation and clean-up Sourcing Data collation Warehousing The position will require basic knowledge of mechanical components and will require a current C Class driver's license.
A Forklift license is preferable.

What you need to succeed Completion of a certificate level qualification (Trade) with relevant experience in mechanical or civil engineering environments Proven ability to effectively manage competing tasks within a high demand work area.
Proven ability to provide high-quality outcomes in a proactive, client-centric approach.
Demonstrated experience using correct manual handling techniques and/or physical aids as well as a current C Class driver's licence Ability to actively participate in, and contribute to, the development of an outstanding team culture, prioritising our people and the environment.
Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with a range of diverse groups (including those whose first language is other than English).
