The nature of the work requires extended hours provision of service, and all staff are expected to contribute appropriately to cover the extended hours.About the roleAn exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our Radiology Department as Grade 3 CT Radiographer.
In conjunction with the Grade 4 CT Supervisor and fellow Grade 3 CT Radiographers, this role provides an important supportive leadership role in managing the daily clinical, service, and operational needs of the CT imaging services across Austin Health.The successful applicant will help oversee maintenance and improvement of CT imaging service and access for ED, inpatient, and outpatient referrals.
The Grade 3 CT Radiographer is a clinical role but will have access to time to facilitate relevant administrative duties.
Relevant post-graduate qualification would be highly advantageous but is not essential.A regular day will see you:Working in a dynamic 24/7 hospital environment alongside exceptional team membersManaging clinical workload and staffing to meet imaging service needsUndertaking routine and specialised medical imaging procedures using modern equipment and technologyLiaising with other senior staff to ensure staff training and supervision needs are metLeading projects, improvement initiatives, and innovationsAbout youTo be successful in this role you'll bring with you:Comprehensive clinical experience as a CT radiographer, ideally in an acute hospital settingExcellent communication and people skills, emotional intelligence, and high standards of careLeadership and team building experienceA clear focus on patient, staff, radiation, and workplace safetyA strong work ethic and passion for improvement initiativesA high level of flexibility and initiativeWorking at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
