We are currently seeking a talented ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR to join our team, contributing to our continued growth and being a pivotal part of our achievements.This position is based in our West Perth office and will require ad hoc site visits. You will have overall responsibility for analyzing project requirements, conducting cost estimations and preparing detailed estimates for electrical installations & maintenance work.OUR ROLESome key requirements include:Perform comprehensive material take-offs to accurately assess project needsConduct site visits to understand project scope and identify potential challengesManage and maintain baseline pricing in the estimating system for consistency and accuracyComplete detailed bid proposals, ensuring all components are thoroughly addressedWrite or develop minor schedules to outline project timelines and deliverablesPrepare turnkey bids, offering complete solutions from initial concept to final pricingProvide innovative pricing strategies and solutions tailored to client needs and project specificationsReview and analyze project specifications, technical drawings and scope of works to understand the electrical requirements of projectsParticipate in tendering process by preparing and submitting comprehensive electrical estimates to potential clients and project ownersCollaborate with suppliers and Contractors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices and ensure availability of required electrical components and servicesIdentify potential risks and uncertainties related to projects and incorporate appropriate contingencies in the cost estimatesSuggest cost effective solutions and alternatives to optimize project budgets while maintaining quality standardsMaintain detailed records of estimation data, assumptions and methodologies used for future reference and audit purposesABOUT YOUThe successful candidate will have:An Electrical trade background with a min. 3-5 years experience working as an Electrical Estimator on project delivery in the Mining/Resources sectorSignificant experience working for a Contractor in Mining/Resources (O&G considered) with a good understanding of Electrical scopes of work on siteProficiency in using estimation software and tools to prepare accurate cost assessmentsWell-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements & identify project challengesAble to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracyKnowledge of Australian electrical codes, regulations and safety standards essentialA willingness to work collaboratively with personnel across all business unitsWHY WARRIKALWe are a small, privately owned business with strong community ties and a commitment to making a difference.You will be working in an inclusive team environment with regular access to senior leaders.We offer role autonomy enabling you to take ownership of your work, develop strategies if required and be supported with implementations.
