About the Role
We seek responsible, organized, and motivated individuals to join our team as Chemical Engineer, for our Robinvale VIC 3549 manufacturing facility.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the main focus of this role is to manage chemical fertilizer manufacturing and warehousing.

This role is based in Robinvale.
Relocation assistance will be provided for the correct applicant/s.

Primary Objective of the Position
Process System Design: Develop designs for chemical process systems, including the planning of control systems.
These systems play a crucial role in removing and separating components, effecting chemical transformations, and maintaining the safe handling of solids, liquids, and gases.
Equipment Optimization: Monitor the operation and maintenance of equipment to ensure peak efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
Identify and address malfunctions promptly.
Material Evaluation & Selection: Ensure the correct materials and equipment are used in accordance with specifications, considering factors such as strength, weight, and cost.
Collaborate with material producers (metals, ceramics, polymers, etc.)
to assess materials suitable for specific product applications.
Problem Diagnosis: Diagnose and resolve issues in chemical plants swiftly to maintain uninterrupted production.
Product Development: Collaborate on plans for new products, providing material selection recommendations that align with design specifications.
Quality Assurance: Review product failure data and conduct laboratory tests to identify and address potential causes, offering insights on problem-solving strategies.
Environmental Stewardship: Investigate product utilization and environmental pollution control challenges, working towards sustainable solutions.

Skills and experience
ESSENTIAL
Formal Chemical Engineering qualification (Engineering / Manufacturing) or extended work experience of 5 to 8 years Understanding chemicals and elements in the periodic table.
Understanding Australian rules and regulations related to good manufacturing practices.
Excellent organizational skills to set and achieve targets with minimum supervision.
The correct attitude to develop the business genuinely and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
Desire to learn and develop.
Prepared to follow the instructions precisely.
Ability to perform tasks without supervision and as part of a team.
Willing to travel long distances and work long shifts and weekends if necessary.
DESIRABLE
Knowledge and understanding of the rural industry.
