About our Client
Our client is an independently owned Australian company delivering specialised chemistry and services to the Water, Power, Paper, Mining and Construction sectors.
The Role
Our client has a vacancy for a Chemical Engineer to join their New South Wales team, based in Newcastle.
Reporting to the NSW Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Water Treatment Specialists servicing a diverse range of significant industrial clients to manage the continuous growth of our business through NSW.
You will have a laboratory team and experts throughout the organisation to support you with technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, technical & managerial support to the specialist team.
Promote and ensure a positive safety culture.
Work with a skilled laboratory team to develop & implement treatment programs, ensuring they provide valued solutions for clients.
Conduct consultancies for clients relating to the treatment of water for use, reuse, and release across a range of industry sectors including mining, power, and utilities.
Develop customer relationships and ensure service levels are maintained.
Explore and develop opportunities to expand business within the sales region, both within existing clients and through new enquiries.
Develop existing accounts to ensure maximisation of sales potential and continued patronage.
Your Skills & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a minimum of 10 years related water treatment/chemicals experience.
Experience in mining, power, water, or related heavy industry sector.
Competency in data analysis and preparation of reports.
An understanding of chemistry and industrial processes.
Existing experience in a leadership role.
