Technical Sales Representative - Protective CoatingsFull time
The world's only 2-coat protective system for critical infrastructure, independently certified to last 25+ years to first maintenance in a C5VH environment - 4x longer than traditional protective coating systems.
This disruptive, anti-corrosion technology is dominating market share around the world and just now breaking-out across ANZ in a big way - having secured a windfall of new project work in the past 2 months with the likes of Ampol, Alcoa, Amplitel, Rio Tinto, Transgrid and more.
They're highly-motivated to become the #1 protective coatings supplier in the region - offering competitive base salary packages and up to 5-10% commissions on all gross sales for BDMs who can help them get there.
About the OpportunityYou'll strategically target / engage with Asset Owners, Applicators, Specifiers and Inspectors across ANZ to build, maintain and close a healthy pipeline of new projects.Markets of focus include: Bridges, Water & Wastewater, Wind Turbines, Oil & Gas (both onshore and offshore), Marine, Ports, Concrete Floors, Pipelines, Transmission Towers, Industrial Equipment, Mining and more.Project deal values can range anywhere from $10K-$100K (for an initial test sale) to $4M+.You'll inherit some key relationships to leverage, though 80% of your efforts (or more) will be focused on new client acquisition in the first 2 years.You'll be supported by two Technical Specialists and the company's Sydney-based GM - all highly-motivated to maximise opportunities / realise growth expectations.This is an autonomous, remote / WFH BDM role with an aggressive and uncapped bonus scheme.The opportunity exists to quickly advance into a State and National Sales Leadership role, with achievement.About YouYou're an accomplished Technical Sales professional, ideally with 3-5+ years' protective coatings industry experience.NACE Certification is preferred, though not required.Technical BDMs (from outside the protective coatings industry) with structured sales training, an understanding of corrosion and/or experience selling into similar target markets with $500K-$1M+ deal values will also be strongly considered.A professional and "intellectual" seller, you enjoy reading up on the products you represent, the industry, the markets you service and manage the end-to-end sales process expertly - able to successfully navigate complex/lengthy sales cycles and multiple senior-level stakeholders to close $1M+ deals.Most importantly, you enjoy breaking into new clients, hunting for / closing new project opportunities and are highly-motivated to make the most of this once-in-a-career sales opportunity.Interviewing now.
