Citywide is recruiting for an Infrastructure and Playgrounds Inspector to work within our prestigious Mornington Open Space contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day inspections of playgrounds and infrastructure to ensure that the facilities and equipment are in good working condition and safe to use.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to: Developing safety management programmes to ensure playgrounds comply with safety regulationsIdentifying hazards in the playgrounds and surrounding areasInspecting equipment, surfacing and furniture, reporting all defectsPerforming safety inspections of playground facilities and equipmentConducting qualitative assessments to identify items and functions that fail to comply with standards, are hazardous etc.Working to rectify issues arising from the annual comprehensive inspection reportAlerting the Client to any condition in the playground identified as an existing hazard or has the potential to become hazardousSafely use a range of vehicles, machinery, equipment and tools required to maintain playground and general open space infrastructure such as pathways, park and reserve drains, park furniture, signage, barbecues, bollards, fencing, drink fountains, retaining walls, goal posts etc.Working as part of the infrastructure team to deliver on contract requirementsSkills & Qualifications required: Previous experience in a similar role is desirableTrade certificate AQF Level 4 or equivalentAHCPGD206 Conduct visual inspection of park facilitiesAHCPGD305 Conduct operational inspection of park facilitiesExperience using tools and machineryAble to demonstrate initiative and problem solvingTeam orientated as well as able to work autonomouslyPolice Check ClearanceWorking with Children CheckFirst Aid CertificateTraffic ManagementGood verbal and written communication skillsIn return we offer: The job security that comes with our list of long-term contractsThe chance to make an impact in a rapidly expanding companyThe opportunity to further develop your skills in a strong, supportive environmentA workplace that focuses on safety firstA company with a culture of teamwork and respectAbout Citywide Citywide is a company with a clear purpose and mission – we shape liveable cities for more than 14 million people in communities up and down Australia's eastern seaboard.
