At SMS we are currently recruiting a LV Mechanic to join our team in our biggest project in the Pilbara. This is a long-term project and a great opportunity if you are seeking to expand your career.Roster Available: 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, WARole Located: Pilbara WA RegionEarning Potential: Up to $175k per annum plus superannuation paid on all hours worked. Fulltime employment including leave for all of life's planned (annual) and unplanned (personal leave) events.About the role:As an LV Mechanic, you will play a critical role in supporting our onsite teams in performing planned, preventive & breakdown maintenance across our fleet of LV equipment and projects. Your responsibilities will include:Maintaining and servicing client fleet of light vehicles, light trucks and auxiliary equipment.Ensuring meticulous completion of job packs and timely handover to the designated recipients.What we are looking for:Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.At minimum, 2 years post trade qualification/apprenticeship in the mining industry.Demonstrable experience working on an open cut mine site.Demonstrable experience servicing and maintaining flatbed trucks, service trucks and boilermaker trucks.Ability to maintain and service lighting towers and generators.Previous experience with maintaining and servicing forklifts, EWP's and cranes is advantageous.Valid C Class manual drivers Licence (HR Licence desirable).Ability to pass pre-employment medical.What SMS can offer:A work environment where safety is always the priority.On site accommodation includes gym facilities, tennis, basketball court, golf, driving nets and putting green.Free confidential EAP and wellness services available to all SMS Mining Services employees.About Us:SMS Mining Services, a privately owned West Australian mining contractor founded in 2000.
