Own the full lifecycle of key products of the Open platform from strategy setting through to roadmapping and execution Lead innovation in their area and regularly evaluate and deliver new and novel ideas Empathise with customers and partners and represent them in the squad As a Senior Product Manager at Open, you will be the driving force for how Open uses data and technology to deliver outsized impact throughout its customer and partner experiences.
What you'll do We are seeking a tenacious, technical minded Product Manager that is excited to take ownership of our proprietary sales platforms.
You'll play a key role in enabling Open's expansion into new markets, launching new insurance products and delivering new disruptive features that unlock new sales opportunities in a scalable way. You will be directly responsible for leading a cross-functional team of designers, engineers and data scientists.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will determine what problems to solve and when. Your collaboration with Product leadership and Squad leads will be essential in delivering an amazing platform. In this role, you will:
Develop a detailed understanding of how the platform supports Open's partners and end customers Develop and maintain the roadmap for Open's proprietary sales platforms, from quarterly goals through to the day-to-day backlog Lead elaboration of the stories Open delivers in its proprietary sales platforms, working with a senior engineer to balance feasibility and desirability Ensure that the platform operates within defined regulatory and compliance guidelines Lead prioritisation for the squad Obsess about product analytics that measure impact and inform direction Manage stakeholders effectively across Open who rely on Open's sales platforms for their success Bring new ideas and use a working backwards approach to determine if we should build them Own overall quality of Open's proprietary sales platforms, alongside a senior engineer You will report directly to Open's Chief Product Officer.
Requirements What you'll bring Single-minded determination to define quarterly goals and deliver on it at pace A proven track record in creating and delivering low-code or no-code technology products that provide delightful user experiences in a scalable way Sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills with senior stakeholders A strong product management toolkit from strategy-setting through to delivery, honed by 8+ years in product management Proven experience in collaborating with designers, engineers and data scientists in elaboration and delivery Strong track-record in developing and using product analytics Self-paced growth mindset Familiarity with solution or enterprise architecture Experience in coding is a plus but not essential This is a technical Product Management role and is great for: Senior Technical Product Managers that want to grow and own key products at a fast growing scale up Senior Business Analysts that want to transition into a career in Product Management Product minded Engineers that want to transition to a career in Product Management This role is less likely to be for you if: You are uncomfortable with routinely diving into details like using observability tools to understand what's going on, working with transaction-level data and managing non-functional requirements You're unfamiliar with how to scale low-code or no-code technologies Role location This role will be based in Sydney. We work in a hybrid environment, where our teams attend the office a minimum of 2-3 days (e.g. Tuesdays & Thursdays).
