Production Lead Operator - Afternoon ShiftProduction Lead Operator (Afternoon Shift Available) - Minto Based Why us? Position Purpose The Lead Operator ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production by adhering to and promoting safety policies, conducting toolbox talks, and training staff in incident reporting. This role operates and troubleshoots machinery, addresses equipment issues affecting quality, and escalates concerns to the Leading Hand or maintenance team as necessary. The Lead Operator organises team workflow, manages breaks to maintain continuous operation, and supports environmental initiatives in reducing, reusing, and recycling processes. Additionally, this position provides seamless shift handovers and may temporarily fill in for the Leading Hand when needed.
This position is available for Afternoon Shift (2pm to 10:06pm), Monday to Friday.
Areas of Responsibility Observes all safe working practices, adheres to all safety policies, and actively uses the safety connections, corrections, and critical risk surveys system.Train and support staff in use of safety correction and incident reporting system.Complete assigned corrective actions in a timely manner.Conducts safety toolbox talks.Raises any machine/mobile equipment/procedural issues which may impact on quality to the Leading Hand.Understands how to operate all machinery/mobile equipment within area of leadership and assists in running as required. Troubleshoots line issues which may impact on quality.Promotes Climate take back through actively promoting reducing, reusing, and recycling processes.Supports Leading Hand, and fills in on a temporary basis.Organises team and supports the plan including breakdowns, organisation of meals & breaks to ensure continuous process operation.Escalates any operational issues to the Leading Hand.Escalates any operational maintenance issues to the maintenance department and logs MEX's as required.Communicates clearly to next shift to ensure continuous process operation.Contributes to the training meeting, identifying skill gaps and planning actions to address skill development for team members.Qualifications and Experience Required Basic computer skills including Word and Excel and other database programs (JDE) or a willingness to learn.Experience in a manufacturing or operator role is desirable.Our Benefits You will be provided with competitive remuneration and an annual Bonus.At INTERFACE, we provide parking on-site.RDOs.Access to Employee Assistance program.Salary Packaging options.Fitness subsidy, gym membership discount, health insurance discount, discounted home loan offer, yearly flu shots and more.You will be part of a diverse and vibrant team with an excellent culture.Help us lead the industry to love the world.
