About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Global Training Operations will manage and implement Training and Development programs and systems by partnering with key stakeholders in North America and regional teams; supporting development and maintenance of global training programs and systems (e.g., LMS); leading a team of facilitators, instructional designers, and developers; and managing L&D vendor relationships.
The Senior Manager of Global Training Operations supports the global Learning Management System, training program development, facilitation, and maintenance, and training engagement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
NORTH AMERICA: Work with the North America Operations Training function to:Consult with operations leaders and other business functions to assess business needs, provide advisement from an L&D lens, and identify effective training strategies and solutions.
Partner with operations leaders and business functions to support initiatives through development, execution, maintenance, and tracking of effective learning solutions, to meet the strategic goals of the business.
Support a team of facilitators, designers, developers, and LMS administrators in development, management, tracking, and governance of effective learning solutions.
Ensure collaboration with all subject matter experts to plan, design and develop content/programs using the most appropriate learning approach.
Oversee maintenance and execution of core training programs, such as North America Franchisee Training, with a focus on step change improvements.
GLOBAL: Partner with global learning & development teams to:Oversee global learning and development strategy and governance.
Develop and maintain core global training systems and programs.
Oversee usage and maintenance of the global LMS.
Maintain global L&D vendor relationships.
Oversee global training data: Manage training data reporting systems to ensure accuracy, functionality, practicality, and timeliness of updates.
Track and analyze training data to understand patterns and trends, providing insights to leadership and field regarding progress, opportunities, and training effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in learning & development or business management related field required.
Knowledge of Learning Management System and functionality, blended learning techniques required.
Minimum 2 years in learning leadership and managing staff, 5 years in learning & development, 3 years in food service or hospitality.
Prior experience in franchising a plus.
Highly adaptable to differing situations and personalities.
Must be able to work independently, and have excellent communication, influencing, networking, team management, and collaborative skills.
Strong Project Management, Organization, and Strategic Planning skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong presentation skills and professionalism.
Strong analysis skills to assess effectiveness and impact of training material on the business using data and insights.
Working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools, Learning Management Systems, and instructional design.
Willingness to contribute to projects in a hands-on fashion and lead by example.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Articulate and visual content creation a plus.
Travel Requirement: 10 - 15% of the time.
