Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Company produces 110koz of gold annually from two operations – the Plutonic Gold Mine in WA & the Henty Gold Mine in Australia. Once onsite you are accommodated in a well-established camp that boasts a substantial gym, squash courts, multipurpose court, pool, modern ensuite rooms with WiFi and Foxtel, just to list some of the modern facilities.A permanent full-time position.Attractive salary package.Quarterly Bonuses.The RoleAs the Alternate Underground Manager, reporting to the Underground Mine Manager and General Manager, you will be responsible on a daily basis for the control and supervision of the mine and all mining operations. This includes coordinating all facets of the underground operations to meet all safety, production, and cost targets, whilst ensuring that all mining and planning activities support the mine's short, medium, and long-term needs.This is an exciting time to join Catalyst Metals, where you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills and experience to contribute to the company's future growth and success.Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Statutory responsibilities associated with being appointed the Alternate UG Manager and the Alternate Site Senior Executive.Implement and monitor mining plans, schedules, and budgets.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and mining regulations.Collaborate with other departments to optimise resource use and improve overall mine performance.Ideal candidates will have:Bachelor Mining Engineering BEng (minimum) or equivalent.First Class WA Mine Manager's certificate of competency.Advanced computer literacy and business software skills; mine planning systems and software (e.g., Deswik).An in-depth understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.Strong leadership and communication skills.Applications are currently being accepted, so apply nowWe are an equal opportunity employer and encourage people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to apply for this position.Agency referrals are not being accepted at this point in time.
