You will deliver high quality customer service to the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development internal and external customers.
You will also be expected to provide support to the Engagement and Compliance unit of the Georesources Division, as well as perform a range of administrative services specific to the Mount Isa centre.

About the role:
In this role you will:
Be the first point of contact for customers (external and internal) for departmental products and services through various channels (face-to-face, phone and email) and respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner.
Assist customers to identify and select the right departmental products and services to meet their needs by providing information and explaining these products and services.
Administer monetary transactions for customers' purchases of departmental products and services in accordance with procedures, financial management practices and related departmental policies.
Undertake record management tasks: enter data, check data entries for accuracy, and search departmental databases and spreadsheets and populate templated letters in Word for customer correspondence.
Follow direction and/or work instructions in desktop manuals when responding to customers' enquiries and seek guidance for and/or escalate atypical customer requests in a timely manner.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of administrative functions, legislation, policies and procedures and apply this knowledge to undertake role responsibilities.
Participate as an active team member by attending scheduled training and regular meetings with supervisor and/or Manager and referring customer feedback to more senior officers.
Be self-motivated to achieve goals, with a focus on professionalism and quality.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Undertake other duties for the Engagement and Compliance team and/or the Mount Isa office as directed and required.

This is a part-time position - The salary above is based on 24 hours per fortnight however the hours for this position are negotiable.
