We are a small family office based in the Sydney CBD, set up to manage the financial affairs of a family with a diverse investment portfolio held through a number of companies and trusts.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take responsibility for all the accounting activities across the group.
Reporting to the CFO, you will work with a small team to manage the day-to-day accounting, prepare performance reports, and complete annual financial and tax statements.
You will need to be flexible to work across the full spectrum of accounting from data entry through to preparation of audited financial statements.

The role is part-time for 4 days per week and based in our Sydney CBD office Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications and expertise
Qualified accountant (CA or CPA) with ideally more than 10 years' direct accounting experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience working in a family office environment.
Strong Xero experience including financial statement reporting.
Experience in business performance reporting using advanced Excel, PowerBI, or similar products would be highly regarded.
Experience in company and trust income tax preparation and compliance.
Other requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills including in preparing financial reports for family or private business entities.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify areas for process improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team with minimal supervision.
Must be eligible to work in Australia without sponsorship.
