We are seeking a dynamic Systems Accountant to support and assist in the enablement of a forward-looking Finance & Advice community. This role will be pivotal in supporting the management and governance of the Finance Reconciliation system.What you'll doPrioritise, support and co-ordinate system maintenance, incident management and change requestsSupport overnight batch process and interfaces to ARCS and manage the resolution process in the event of a system or interface fault.Provide support to ARCS users to address system-related enquiries and issuesWork with Finance users and Product System support team to clearly define new reconciliation requirementsTest system and reconciliation changes to ensure they are consistent with requirements and expectationsCommunicate with stakeholders regarding overnight batch and interface status, year-end support arrangements, system outages, etc.Establish and monitor governance controls including Disaster Recovery TestingCo-ordinate user access management and auditsDevelop appropriate training materials and deliver training sessions for new usersManage team mailboxes and ServiceNow incidentsSupport projects that impact in-scope Finance SystemsLiaise with external auditors for Half Yearly and Full Year ReviewDrive process improvement initiativesCollaboratively work with a wide range of stakeholders to drive optimal business outcomes.Consider Suncorp's strategy and risk policies and frameworks as well as industry/regulatory requirements in all activities and decisions.What you'll bringQualifications in Accounting/Finance (mandatory)Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) or Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA) – DesiredMinimum 3 years proven proficiency in finance and systems accounting roles within financial services, preferably in the insurance industry.Experience working with Oracle ARCSTechnical expertise - Functional Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) knowledge with the ability to apply accounting skills in a practical manner to achieve problem identification/resolutionStrong customer focus – ability to develop strong working relationships and educate customersImpact & Influence - Proactively gain support and communicate with others in a deliberate and considered way to achieve positive business outcomesCultureAt Suncorp, our purpose has been at the core of our business for over 100 years.
