Qualified Pipelayer/Drainer and ApprenticesSPE Civil Pty Ltd is an industry leading plumbing company with over 21 years experience working with some of Australia's most successful builders and construction companies.
We offer a range of plumbing services including civil works, plumbing and infrastructure e.g.
storm water easements, water main connections and sewer main connections.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated experienced Pipelayer/Drainer and Apprentices to join our team. To be successful in this role you must: Have a NSW drivers license (able to drive manual)Be Reliable and PunctualBe Neatly PresentedBe Honest and HardworkingBe able to work independentlyHave attention to detail and be able to problem solve.Qualified Pipelayers must also have: Be able to read civil, stormwater and hydraulic plansAbility to operate a spinning and pipe laserExperience with grades and levels for pit and pipe placementExperience in laying concrete stormwater pipesExperience in installing precast pitsExperience in constructing in-situ storm water pits (incl.
lintels and grates)Experience in operating excavators is a bonusExperience in driving trucks is a bonusThis position would appeal to someone that can demonstrate a high level of understanding of all aspects mentioned above.
A vehicle and phone will be provided to the right candidate.
The Role The role is demanding but very rewarding as you have the opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience.
The successful applicant will be working alongside qualified plumbers, engineers, and other civil industry workers to gain invaluable experience and on-the-job learning.
Some of the tasks and responsibilities that the applicant will be exposed to include but are not limited to:
All aspects of completing stormwater projects end to endReading and interpreting plansProject ManagementCommunication between clients and contractorsMaterial procurement from suppliersFollowing safety proceduresSydney Water Work e.g.
sewer and water main connectionsStorm water easementsPlumbing inspectionsOperating excavatorsRestoration procedures e.g.
asphalting and concretingIf successful in the position, you will be offered a three-month trial.
After the three-month trial, a review will be conducted to discuss any changes.
