Location: Sydney, AustraliaDepartment: Human ResourcesReports to: Payroll ManagerSchedule: Part-time (3 days) 9 MonthsNote: Hybrid Set Up - 1 or 2 days in the office (Sydney CBD)Please note: This position is open only to applicants currently residing in Australia.Job Description:A leading global bank with a long history in the Asia-Pacific region is seeking a talented Payroll Officer to join their team in Australia.This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for employees in Australia and New Zealand. You will ensure accurate and timely payments while maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Process payroll data for new hires, terminations, and ongoing staffRun bi-weekly payroll for Australia and New ZealandHandle terminations and manual paymentsReconcile payroll deductions and ensure accurate tax and superannuation contributionsAnswer employee payroll inquiriesGenerate reports and maintain payroll recordsAssist HR and Payroll teams with projectsParticipate in annual system upgradesQualifications:Strong numerical skills and understanding of Australian and New Zealand employment lawsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Relevant degree in HR, Business, Finance, or similar field (preferred)Experience in CHRIS21/iChris or similar payroll system is a plusMinimum 1 year of payroll/accounting experienceTo apply for this position, please click the button below.
