About the Role The Head of Learning & Development plays an instrumental role in bringing Young Guns ethos to life - Unlocking Human Potential, through creating the correct strategy for learning, leading a team to developing and implement learning programs that enable performance and wellbeing of their teams, and ensuring its supported with the correct systems, processes and governance.
Your role is to further mature the learning and development frameworks across all parts of the business; leadership and operations, ensuring there are consistent learning programs that enable business performance.
Partnering with key internal stakeholders, together you will set clear and measurable goals for L&D that will contribute significantly to developing and embedding the ways of working – the right toolset, skillset, and mindset.
This will be a hands-on role, overseeing a small team of Instructional Designers and Facilitators, and will require someone who enjoys a role that works in both strategy and delivery, a real 'build' role where can make a genuine positive impact on a thriving business with strong core values embedded in everything they do.
There will be a large focus on building leadership capability to bring about significant uplift and therefore, change management experience is required to confidently navigate this area.
You will develop learning pathways for each role and strategically blend internal and external training programs to support team members' learning at the relevant stage of their journeys.
About You You must be a seasoned Learning and Development Manager who is experienced in leading a team.
You will be exceptional at establishing and nurturing workplace relationships, able to collaborate effectively and successfully reach a wide audience of people in a meaningful way.
Young Guns are looking for a natural born leader, someone who oozes passion, optimism, a can-do attitude, and a natural born leader, confidently leading the charge with the ability to have robust conversation with senior leaders in a constructive and influential manner.

It is essential that you possess blue collar technical learning experience in sectors that have a strong compliance and safety component.
