Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Soil Science:
The University of Queensland is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Soil Science. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for three years based at the St Lucia Campus. The successful candidate will lead research on fertiliser interactions with soils, focusing on understanding the fate of fertilisers to enhance production and environmental outcomes.

PhD with a focus on
soil science
Knowledge and hands-on experience in experimentation in agricultural/environmental chemistry, soil fertility, and plant nutrition
Track record of publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and conferences
Ability to work independently and in a team, meet deadlines, and liaise effectively with supporting staff
Evidence of industry engagement and effective communication to stakeholders
Work Rights: Visa Sponsorship may be available for this position
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will play a lead role in studying fertiliser interactions with soils, focusing on the fate of fertilisers to improve overall plant growth and environmental sustainability. Key responsibilities include conducting laboratory and glasshouse experiments, producing high-quality research outputs, contributing to reports and project budgets, and engaging with industry and stakeholders. This research-focused position offers opportunities for diverse research and analytical expertise development, publication, student supervision, and service roles across the University.
