12 months fixed term flexible part time position (30 hours per week)Based in the Australian Hearing Hub at Macquarie UniversityCompetitive salary based on experience plus 15.4% superAbout the role As a Research Audiologist, you will be a key member of NAL's large Audiology Research Department, working alongside our Senior Research Audiologists on projects that drive innovation in adult audiological rehabilitation.
You will be involved in co-developing innovative solutions for the hearing sector and building an evidence-base to transform clinical practices.
Day-to-day activities will involve arranging and conducting data collection, liaising with stakeholders, and conducting research-related activities to ensure the smooth running of projects to meet timelines.
There will be opportunities to develop your scientific writing and presentation skills as you collaborate on our research dissemination activities.

Key responsibilities include: Assisting in initiating, planning and executing research projects in accordance with NAL project procedures including contributing to recruitment and retention of research participants.Performing hearing assessments and hearing-related procedures in accordance with research protocols and professional standards.Contributing to developing and managing research documentation and procedures.Leading and/or supporting data analysis and interpretation.Maintaining security and confidentiality of research data including participant information, in compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, and policy.Identifying, developing and maintaining relationships and collaborations within the hearing research and audiology communities and other sectors (e.g.
hearing industry, academia).Participating in activities to ensure successful collaboration and working relationships between departments at NAL.Maintaining hearing and audiological science expertise and keeping abreast of new developments relevant to NAL's objectives and developing opportunities for integrating new scientific ideas into NAL.The successful candidate will have: Qualified practitioner (QP) with full membership with Audiology Australia preferred or ability to obtain.Experience in conducting audiology research studies desirable, but not required.Hearing Australia offers a supportive working environment, competitive salaries, 15.4% super, free on-site parking, great facilities, work from home options, performance payments and many other great benefits.
