Senior Data Scientist - 3 Contract Roles Location - Sydney - candidates have to be Sydney based with hybrid work - 2 days from the office minimum.
3 X 8 months Contract roles with strong with possibility to extend.
Newly established DS team to enable delivery of Machine Learning Models Min 5-7+ years' experience developing and deploying generative / ML models Strong communication, commercial acumen and stakeholder skills The Company Working within a newly established Data Science team within the Advanced Analytics portfolio of a major Australian Bank, you will be responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end data science projects that drive value across the bank.
The Role Working with a seasoned Head of DS who is keen to set up a brand new team of technically strong Data Scientists, you will work on multiple projects and contribute to data science best practices, standards and guidelines to enable the delivery of ML models.
You will also build, develop and execute end-to-end machine learning models (large language models, generative AI models) to solve complex business problems.
About You At least 5-7+ years of data science experience in businesses dealing with huge data sets, including leading end-to-end data science projects , working with business stakeholders and deploying solutions in production.
Strong SQL, SAS and data science languages like P ython, Hadoop, Spark – Google Cloud Platform experience a big plus.
Expertise in the following areas: natural language processing, or computer vision Methods: NLP, LLM, GenAI, Open AI, Microsoft Cognitive Services – Audio to text, text mining NLP, Image recognition, Machine Learning.
Advanced analytics applied in a marketing context highly regarded (customer propensity models, uplift models, recommendation engines).
Strong experience with multivariate Time Series forecasting and analysis a big plus.
Advanced MS Excel.
Sound knowledge of other MS Office programs.
Advanced Tableau and data visualisation knowledge Statistical and Mathematical Methods.
