The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This iconic project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role: Working within a diverse and multidisciplinary engineering team to coordinate interrelation between Design and Construction to ensure feasibility, safety, and constructability of designs relevant to Permanent and temporary Works related to surface structures.
Qualifications: Bachelor/Master of Civil Engineering or related disciplineWhite CardExperience: Minimum 3 years of experience working in a similar roleCoordination of multidisciplinary activitiesTechnical knowledge of underground & surface excavation and concrete worksKnowledge of engineering basic conceptsUnderstanding of best practices of tunnelling worksGood written and verbal communication skills in EnglishBasic use of AutoCAD 2D to read drawings and MS OfficeGood time management capabilitiesProblem-solving capabilitiesWorks well under pressureCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Technical coordination (gather, analyze, simplify, summarize, and provide information) with other colleagues and leads to produce documentation such as:Construction Method StatementMaterial Approval RequestScope of WorksTechnical EvaluationDesign Change RequestRequest for InformationSketchesCalculations and ReportsRisk AssessmentLead and give technical support to junior Permanent EngineersLiaise with other departments of the project to lead or support in the production of the above-mentioned documentsThe above-listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
