Senior Health and Safety Advisor
$140,000 - $160,000 plus Super, Senior Health and Safety Advisor in Randwick.
This position will involve continually updating and developing safety management systems, to support large scale infrastructure projects with private and public sector clients.
This company has an established health and safety strategy and team, and are continually looking to build and improve their standards and efficiency.
About the Company
A leader within the civil engineering space, this company works on a range of utilities and infrastructure projects from design through to completion.
This company has a healthy pipeline of work which is continuing to grow, and as such are currently rebuilding their management systems to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency.
They are now looking to hire a new Senior Health and Safety Advisor to support these changes, and ensure continual development and improvements.
About the role
This role will involve working with management to rebuild and develop the safety management systems, to support changes in legislation and upcoming projects.
Joining an established team, your role will support the site-based Health and Safety Advisors on project specific requirements, as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure all updated standards and requirements are known and implemented.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site-based Health and Safety professional, to step into a systems and policy focussed role.
Duties
Developing and updating Health and Safety Management Systems, ensuring compliance and keeping up to date with key changes to legislation
Creating tangible action plans to ensure clear steps to reach company and project goals, upskilling employees for successful implementation, constantly seeking areas for improvement
Occasionally visiting sites and engaging with site teams, leading by example to create a positive safety culture with strong relationships
Engaging with the clients and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
Skills & Experience
On-site Health and Safey experience working within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, or related industries
Experience updating and developing Safety and Risk Management Systems, in line with relevant legislative requirements
Experience undertaking Health and Safety Audits, in line with ISO standards, and OFSC
CertIV in Health and Safety, or equivalent
Experience in gap analysis, and ability to provide practical and tangible solutions where required
Experience establishing and maintain good working relationship at all levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
Experience with Procore Construction Management System a plus
