12 - Month Max Term role Location: Sydney How will I help?
As the Senior Product Owner, you will ensure the success of The Westpac Group's Non-Rewards Credit Card products.
Your role involves identifying market demands, shaping the product vision, and collaborating with various teams to bring this vision to fruition.
A thorough understanding of the financial market, customer needs, and competitive landscape is essential.
You will support the Credit Cards Line of Business team in managing the Credit Card product suite to meet customer expectations, achieve revenue and return targets, and remain competitive in the market.
Your success will be measured by meeting financial targets across the product's P&L, with a focus on sales, balances, attrition, IBB, and fee income.
Key responsibilities Identify key competitors and stay updated on industry trends, technology, and consumer behaviour to drive product innovation and improvement.
Analyse market conditions, develop strategies, and define product objectives for marketing.
Create and manage the product roadmap, including defining product specifications and long-term strategy.
Develop product policies and pricing strategies, translating them into detailed requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the product's business model and support internal stakeholders with product information and SME guidance.
Design and develop products by leveraging research, analysis, and customer feedback to suggest new developments and refinements.
Analyze key data points (e.g., churn rate, IBB, sales, NCL, acquisition metrics, revenue) to understand trends and determine actions to address them.
Oversee key governance activities for the Credit Card product suite, including DDO, TMD development, product reviews, and management of the Product Governance Forum.

What do I need?
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Ability to use data to create meaningful insights and support decision-making.
Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to deliver outcomes in a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proactive self-starter who is outcome-focused and can work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and project management fundamentals.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of the consumer credit market, products, and regulatory frameworks.
