As a central agency of the Australian Government, the Department of Finance (Finance) plays an important role in assisting government across a wide range of policy areas to ensure its outcomes are met.
Finance supports the government's ongoing priorities through the Budget process and fosters leading practice through the public sector resource management, governance and accountability frameworks. Finance plays a lead role in advising the government on many of its strategic priorities, including providing advice to the government on optimal arrangements for the management and ownership of public assets.
About the Role The role of Policy Officer is to assist with the maintenance of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Finance's Procurement Policy website and Finance guidance materials such as Resource Management Guides and Procurement Guidance Note.
Key Duties Draft/review procurement related materials such as resource management guides, policy papers, ministerial briefings, and letters.Provide guidance to stakeholders on procurement related matters.Participate in delivery of procurement policy objectives and projects.Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.Review and draft a broad range of materials (such as resource management guides, policy papers, ministerial briefings, and letters).Build and maintain effective working relationships.Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present information and concepts with credibility, tailoring to the audience.How to Apply Click APPLY or contact Marisa Conlon, Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition at ****** for further information on the role.
