A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas.

Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

About The Role This is a permanent Full-Time position at 1.0 EFT/76 hours per fortnight within the Paediatric Infant and Perinatal Emergency Retrieval service at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
Your role has key responsibilities in PIPER's financial management, operational support and as a member of the PIPER Leadership group.
You will work with the PIPER Director and Nurse Unit Manager to manage PIPER's non-clinical systems, analysing and reporting on service operations, and identifying strategic opportunities through development of business cases to support capital and service resourcing.
Classification for this position will range from AO71-AO75.

About The Department PIPER improves health outcomes for newborn babies, children and women by providing emergency consultation and medical retrieval services for babies, infants, children and adolescents, and high-risk pregnant women.
In addition, PIPER's statewide role includes coordinating NICU/PICU and maternity bed utilisation, collaboration with key stakeholders in the planning and implementation of strategies to improve neonatal, paediatric and maternity services in Victoria, and supporting clinicians through outreach education programs focused on the non-tertiary health services who refer to PIPER.
