Sales Estimator

A well established Melbourne family home builder is looking for a Sales Estimator to join the team.Building more than 1,000 homes a year, this is a down to earth, open minded and welcoming business. We consider experience from the construction industry, not just homes.We have a big team of professionals, working together to create beautiful new homes in VIC. A career here will see you rewarded and appreciated for your hard work and passion to excel.The team gets along really well, and its a relaxed working environment.The Role:Report to the Estimating Manager, who has strong industry knowledge, an easy approach, and who encourages a collaborative work environment.The new role will involve:Provide accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerationsCreate written content for material itemsObtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variationsOffer technical support to team members and sales staffProduce accurate documentation within budgeted timelinesMaintaining a thorough knowledge of company products and servicesExcellent customer service skills, working with supervisors, suppliers, trades people, agents and contractors, maintaining and improving at all times.What you need:You will ideally have the following criteria:Excellent communication skills, written & verbalEvidence of proactive qualities and ability to work autonomously2+ years experience in construction estimatingAbility to work with sales people, and understanding of their role and urgencyConstruction knowledge and a trade background favouredCompetency with Microsoft Office and experience working with an estimating systemThe Rewards:A generous salary - upto $110k including superA supportive workplace cultureMentoring and industry experienced leadershipWork is recognised and rewarded - promotions and advancement within a yearIf the above sounds like you, please apply below.
