Senior Freight Forwarding Operations Manager

The Company: Our client is a renowned Australian logistics and freight forwarding company with their own proprietary software, making changes to the way traditional freight forwarding services are performed.
Employing over 150 staff across the country and operating from every major city, they offer a comprehensive range of services, providing end-to-end solutions for international shipping, customs clearance, supply chain management, and logistics consulting.
With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, they remain at the forefront of the logistics industry, providing seamless and cost-effective solutions that help businesses optimize their supply chain operations.
The Position: We are currently looking for a Senior Operations Manager to work from the Melbourne Airport Head Office.
In this role, you will oversee the State Operations Managers for Imports and Exports in both Air and Sea Freight.
You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to streamline processes, monitor performance, and deliver exceptional service.
With your strong leadership and problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the growth and success of the company.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the overall freight forwarding operations.Coordinate with and manage internal teams.Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the operations staff.Oversee the documentation and compliance teams and processes.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance and mentorship.Prepare reports, forecasts, and budgets to track operational performance.The Package: For the right candidate, we're willing to offer:
