This is a part time (FTE of 0.60), fixed term role, commencing in Term 1, 2025 until the end of Term 4, 2025.
The Laboratory Technician will support the delivery of the science curriculum across Years 5 – 12 including practical classes in General Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.The Laboratory Technician will work term time and the days of work are negotiable.To be successful in this opportunity you will require:Relevant Science or Laboratory Technician qualificationsRelevant laboratory work experience (preferably in an educational setting).Ability to use technology, and experience in using applications such as Office365Strong organisational and time management skillsStrong understanding of safety requirements associated with working in a LaboratoryExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsCritical thinking when problem solvingCurrent Victorian Working with Children CheckApplicationsApplicants should submit, via the online application form (below), their current curriculum vitae, together with any further information in support of their application.Please note:Applicants are required to supply the name, address and telephone number of three referees, two of whom must be able to comment on the applicant's professional work (or training), during the past five years.An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision.The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.To be eligible to apply you must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.Remuneration for any position at St Leonard's College is in accordance with the St Leonard's College Agreement 2023.At St Leonard's College, we value diversity, embracing and celebrating each individual's contributions, lived experiences, and expertise.
