About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a diligent Laboratory Technician to join our College community on a part time, fixed term basis.
Reporting into the Head of Learning – Science, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing professional and expert technical support to the Faculty of Science.
This is a part time (FTE of 0.60), fixed term role, commencing in Term 1, 2025 until the end of Term 4, 2025.
The Laboratory Technician will support the delivery of the science curriculum across Years 5 – 12 including practical classes in General Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The Laboratory Technician will work term time and the days of work are negotiable.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require: Relevant Science or Laboratory Technician qualificationsRelevant laboratory work experience (preferably in an educational setting).Ability to use technology, and experience in using applications such as Office365Strong organisational and time management skillsStrong understanding of safety requirements associated with working in a LaboratoryExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsCritical thinking when problem solvingCurrent Victorian Working with Children CheckApplicationsApplicants should submit, via the online application form (below), their current curriculum vitae, together with any further information in support of their application.
