This role is based in Cairns, North Queensland.

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this hands-on position involves strategic leadership as you contribute to the centralisation of shared services within the organisation.
You'll motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team of nine, fostering a professional, positive, and business-focused environment.
Responsibilities
In this influential role, you will:
Lead financial reporting, including preparation of annual statutory accounts.
Oversee internal and external audits.
Manage tax-related compliance requirements and liaise with the Australian Taxation Office.
Prepare consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows for executive reporting.
Support enhancements in company management reporting and budgeting.
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Tertiary qualifications and CA or CPA accreditation.
Experience with SAP Hana and Cognos (highly regarded).
Previous experience in agriculture or manufacturing sectors preferred.
Strong familiarity with compliance: Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, and Taxation Act.
