The company recently acquired the Marda Gold Project in the Southern Cross region of Western Australia.
Marda is a highly prospective project with multiple pits and prospects requiring exploration in 2025.
The company also has a portfolio of Lithium and Nickel exploration projects in Manitoba, Canada as well as several opportunities within Western Australia across Iron Ore, Lithium and Gold.We are seeking to recruit a motivated geologist (Senior or Project Level) to lead our technical team with the view to be a part of the growth of Leeuwin in 2025 and beyond.
The role is unique with the company having strong projects in WA and Canada and offers the successful candidate exposure to multiple commodities and jurisdictions.We are looking for someone who has a range of experience across all aspects of mining and exploration and are happy to provide an environment where you will be exposed to multiple aspects of the business to broaden skills within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.Primarily you will be working on the Marda Gold Project based in our West Perth office and site.The responsibilities of this role will include:Responsible for the activities of the Exploration team, driving value along the target pipeline from Target Generation through to Advanced ExplorationFoster a "boots on the ground" exploration focus and approach to field work and mapping to improve the geology understanding at prospect scale through to regional scaleIdentification of opportunities for the business within WA and CanadaPlanning, permitting, and execution of drilling programsData collection and validation, 3D geological interpretation and modellingStatutory and technical reporting, awareness of technical, environmental, heritage, OH & S obligationsRequirements/qualifications to secure this role are:Tertiary qualification in GeologyMinimum of five (5) years' total experienceAbility to provide an NPCMust be able to pass a medical and D&A screenCompetency in 2D and 3D software – QGIS, Leapfrog, MicromineGold experience (Resource Development and/or mining) highly desirableHow do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Geologist?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?
