HOBAN Recruitment is seeking skilled Procurement Officers at APS6 level and also APS 5 level for a government organisation in SURRY HILLS SYDNEY NSW.

As a Procurement Officer (APS6 or APS 5 level), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring procurement processes align with legislative requirements and organisational policies.
At APS 6 level, you'll lead procurement projects, provide expert advice, and manage workflows to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business areas to establish procurement methodologies, evaluate tenders, and negotiate contracts.
Manage procurement reporting and verification activities, including financial system processing.
Implement and maintain procurement and contract management policies and frameworks.
Lead procurement planning across the team and organisation.
Provide specialist advice to ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and organisational policies.
Deliver timely, high-quality reports and advice to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
Benefits Competitive pay rates of $55.24 per hour for APS 5 level and $60.26 per hour at APS 6 levels , including casual loading, providing you with financial stability and recognition for your expertise.

About You Essential Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of federal or state government procurement processes.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to manage high-volume tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Composed and adaptable under changing conditions.
Desirable Skills: Experience with Procurement, HR, or Project Management systems.
Team leadership and management experience is required for APS 6 level.
