Then keep readingThis is how You Make a DifferenceAs a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer you will be part of our small, talented team in Sydney that is dedicated to the ongoing development of hardware and software used extensively throughout the transport industry.You will support this mission with the following tasks:Design, develop and maintain software and systems in accordance with the quality systemDesign, develop and maintain Linux based distributions used in supplied devicesSoftware development in accordance with predefined specificationsAnalysis of customer requirementsParticipation in development through all stages of SDLCPost-implementation supportSupport during pre-sales in creating system design and estimating time / effortYou are:Passionate about learning and growingCommunicative and strongly team orientatedEquipped with strong analytical abilitiesMotivated and ambitious to work on your own initiativeOrganized and able to manage and document your tasks and timeIn possession of an Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a temporary work visaWhat you Bring to the Table:You have completed a tertiary degree, preferably in computer science or electrical / electronic engineering.Advanced proficiency in C / C++ programming, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutionsStrong understanding of Linux and Operating System conceptsBasic knowledge of electronic hardware conceptsExperience in Linux user space programming and shell scriptingDemonstrated expertise in TCP / IP network programmingSolid background in multi-threading programmingExcellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem-solvingStrong communication and documentation skillsAbility to collaborate effectively in a team environment and adhere to project schedulesFamiliarity with development processes, cybersecurity principles, and quality standardsCross platform user space network application development in Linux and WindowsUnderstanding of and experience with communication protocols and methods such as REST, GraphQL, Message Queues and SOAPUnderstanding of and experience with VoIP systems and associated control and streaming protocolsKnowledge of encryption, authentication and authorisation methodsExperience in device driver development for embedded devicesWhat We Offer:r2p offers great job opportunities in various fields and job profiles and offers a competitive salary package that commensurate with your skills and experience level.We are a globally expanding company our employees have the chance to grow with us and to work in an international environment.You will join us at our new office in Bella Vista, Sydney, conveniently located near Bella Vista metro station (10-minute walk) and just off the Westlink M7 (5-minute drive).Once established in your new role, we offer a hybrid work model which allows to flexibly split your time between working in the office and from home, to suit your personal circumstances and needs.We are a dynamic and open-minded company with flat hierarchies and an open-door philosophy.
