We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement.
Please note, thisis a remote-first role and the majority of the team work in a distributed fashion.
Design and implementation of IT solutions:Implement IT solutions in a cloud-native Microsoft 365 environment with a focus on secure by design principles.
You will be provided with high-level strategic direction and be expected to design and implement appropriate solutions independently in alignment with theMicrosoft Well-Architected Framework and industry best practices.IT Helpdesk Support:Resolve IT helpdesk issues promptly and efficiently, providing excellent customer service to our team members.Proactive Remediation:Identify and address potential issues before they impact operations, implementing proactive measures to maintain system integrity, availability and security, and reducing team toil by mitigating the root causes of issues.Monitoring and Performance:Continuously monitor the IT environment for performance and security issues, ensuring systems are running smoothly and securely.ISO 27001 Compliance:Implement and maintain technical controls to help us achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification, balancing the business' needs with security objectives.Process Automation:Develop and implement automation, scripts and tools to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency.
We rely heavily on automation to help us achieve our goals.Documentation:Document processes, decisions, architecture diagrams, and maintain asset inventories.Use of technology:Drive adoption of tools and technology within the team to improve efficiency and help us maintain our edgeApplication and patch management:Build and maintain the application catalogue using Intune and Company Portal, ensuring applications are kept up to date using a risk-based approach to vulnerability managementWhat you'll needProven experience as a Cloud or Systems Administrator or similar roleStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and zero-trust architecturesExperience with Azure and understanding of cloud-native architecturesExperience with IT security best practicesExperience with Atlassian Cloud (Jira and Confluence) administrationProficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
You must be able to communicate highly technical information to a general audienceExperience in working independently without heavy direction or frequent check-ins (a "Manager of one" - understanding what needs to be done, breaking down the tasks, and then executing)Working experience with Linux is beneficialNice to haveFamiliarity with ISO 27001 standards and compliance requirementsWhat we offerSalary - AUD$80 - 100K (pro-rata for part-time) +superannuationFlexibility - meet your outcomes and decide your own schedule that unlocks your full potentialLatest tech - We identify and leverage the best tooling to manage our operationsCulture - We celebrate our wins and care about culture, our priority being the morale of each and every team memberOther important detailsWe have a distributed workforce - if you are living in and have the rights to work in Australia, then we don't mind where you liveWe will request shortlisted candidates to complete a small project (designed to be less than an hour of work).
