About the OpportunityThere is currently an exciting career opportunity to join our team as the Regional Head of Procurement – APAC.
In this role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of procurement strategies for the APAC region.
This role encompasses leading the regional and local teams, initiating and executing cost-efficiency projects, and supporting operational requirements.
Additionally, it involves managing the procurement process and supply base efficiently and effectively, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and developing integrated Procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and sustainability objectives.
You will also be responsible for:
Designing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the organization's goals, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and reliability in the APAC region.Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enhance value, reduce risks, and secure favorable terms that benefit the organization's long-term objectives.Conducting in-depth analysis of market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures within APAC to ensure competitive pricing and identify potential sourcing opportunities.Proactively managing procurement risks by identifying potential disruptions, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and maintaining ethical sourcing practices.What we are looking for:Tertiary qualified or Graduate preferably in Business, Economics, or Engineering.An MBA or similar would be highly regarded.8-10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a large company.4-6 years of professional experience in project management and/or consulting.Ability to provide others with a clear direction and set appropriate standards of behaviour.Inspiring leadership skills and motivates and empowers others.Strong people development and coaching skills.A passion for encouraging organisational and individual responsibility towards the community and environment.Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends.Ability to identify business opportunities and demonstrates financial awareness.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills at a senior executive level.Our Teammate PerksEtex Australia prioritises professional development, focusing on mentorship and supportive team environments that foster individual growth.
