Clinical Nurse Consultant - REST (Rehabilitation Engagement & Safety Team)The Spinal Injuries Unit is looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Rehabilitation Engagement & Safety Team to join their supportive team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The Spinal Injuries Unit (SIU) provides inpatient specialist acute and rehabilitation management, in addition to outpatient services, for people with spinal cord injuries as part of the statewide Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service (QSCIS).
Rehabilitation services are provided incorporating person-centred goal planning using an interdisciplinary professional team model.
We are the major public healthcare provider for Brisbane's south side, Logan, Redlands, and the Scenic Rim.

About the Role Provide direct and indirect care as required and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, and the wider Division of Allied Health & Rehabilitation.Provide professional leadership and responsibility in conjunction with the Advanced Clinical Psychologist (REST) for the development of Rehabilitation, Engagement, and Safety Team clinical practice and procedures.Develop and maintain an effective team that works collaboratively with colleagues, patients, and their carers.Provide patients, relatives, and carers with appropriate education considering the patient goals, health care needs, and environmental factors, tailoring education to suit these needs.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement, and Excellence shape our culture within Metro South Health.
