Zelda community care is seeking a passionate and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Sydney, NSW.
This is a casual role, providing support and care to elderly and disabled clients in their homes and communities.
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
Providing companionship and social support to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life
Advocating for client needs and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
Maintaining accurate client records and reporting any concerns or changes in client wellbeing
Adhering to all workplace policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
What we're looking for
Experience in a similar support worker or care assistant role, preferably in the aged care or disability services sector
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is highly desirable
A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to care
