This home supports 4 male participants with physical and intellectual disabilities.
There are challenging behaviours; however, the home is very structured, with a focus on routine, music, creativity, and respecting their own space.
Support needs include mealtime and epilepsy management, personal care assistance, and emotional support. If you are a support worker who enjoys capacity building, are forward-thinking, proactive, and engaging, then this role is for you.
We have mixed shifts available ranging from 6am - 2pm, 9am - 5pm, 2 - 8pm and 5.30pm - 9am (sleepover). At Scope, we celebrate people. Supporting adults with complex mental health and intellectual and physical disabilities in an independent living model.Following positive behaviour support and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.Encouraging capacity building to enhance clients' current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.Promoting choice and control and showing willingness to participate in clients' day-to-day routines, goals, and interests.Providing personal care with dignity and respect.Some of our requirements: P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher.Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster.Working with Children's check and NDIS Workers check or willingness to obtain.Who is Scope? Please note: successful applicants will be required to hold a NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and a Working with Children Check.
If you have lived or worked for a continuous period of 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years, a certified International Police Check from that country/countries will also be required.
