LocationRemote role, anywhere within Northern Territory (Australia)Employment ConditionsFull time, Fixed Term to June 2025DescriptionThis is an Identified Role and is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only, in accordance with Section 14(D) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act, 1977 NSW.The role of each Training, Workforce and Engagement Officer is to assist in the delivery and design of FPDNs comprehensive and coordinated national training project in collaboration with the Learning Design Officer and the Technical Support Learning Programs Officer.
The Training, Workforce and Engagement Officer will engage with local ACCOs, ACCHOs, local stakeholder organisations, as well as First Peoples living with a disability, their carers, families and support networks to increase their capacity and their understanding of disability rights and human rights.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Training, Workforce and Engagement Officers will be responsible for:Assist in the development of new resources and training materials to meet the needs of the community and to address gaps of knowledge and to increase the understanding of people living with a disability and human rights frameworks.Engage and build relationships with ACCOs, ACCHOs, local stakeholder organisations as well as First Peoples living with a disability, their carers, families and support networks to increase their capacity and understanding of First Peoples living with a disability to create systemic change based on self-determination principles and strengths-based approaches.Implement and deliver training to ACCOs, ACCHOs, local stakeholder organisations as well as First Peoples living with a disability, their carers, families and support networks with the desired outcome to create systemic change and increase their capacity to work with and alongside First Peoples living with a disability.#J-18808-Ljbffr
