About the CompanyOur client is a well-known not-for-profit Queensland Government statutory body responsible for providing goods and essential services to the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula Area (NPA), and mainland Aboriginal remote communities.About the RoleThe Financial Accountant is the senior position within the Financial Services Department. The role is a management role with both supervisory requirements and independent processes undertaken in a financial accounting context.ResponsibilitiesComplete end-of-month reporting, ensuring accurate and timely processing.Overseeing the Accounts Receivable and Payable functions of CEQ.Prepare and coordinate monthly and annual financial statements journals.Ensure all corporate information is captured within CEQ's business systems adhering to recordkeeping policies and procedures.Monitor and enforce workplace health and safety (WH&S) standards to ensure a safe working environment.Skills and Experience RequiredEssential Skills:Experience in Pronto, PowerBI and/or Cognos report writing will be ideal.CA/CPA qualification would be advantageous.Medium to advanced Excel skills.End of Month reporting and reconciliation experience essential.Ability to liaise and assist accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll with their questions and offering solutions as required.How to ApplyPlease submit your application including a resume via the link.
