Senior Tax & Business Services AccountantOur client is a chartered firm of three Directors and twenty professional staff focused on providing tax, compliance, and strategy advice to a portfolio of private businesses.The main focus in this professional setting is broadly based business advice, where the true value to clients is delivered.The practice's client profile represents a diverse and successful portfolio of private businesses who contract for holistic advice. The depth of service sees staff involvement in clients' tax and commercial strategies and long-term growth and succession plans.The Senior Tax Accountant reports to a Partner with a background within Big 4 international firms. The professional development inherent to working with top-level Partners is readily apparent to those who aspire to launch beyond garden-variety compliance.Success in this role will necessarily be underpinned by:Chartered or CPA qualificationsMinimum of five years experience in a professional tax practiceCompetence in Division 7AExperience in assisting with the development of tax planningAn understanding of SMSF interaction with tax optimisationConfidence in preparation of financial statements and tax returns for multi-entity groups comprising companies, partnerships, trusts, and individualsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCareer progression is offered to those prepared to look outside of the compliance bunker and take the long view - for clients and themselves.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years of taxation experience do you have?Have you completed a chartered accountant (CA) qualification?Have you completed a certified practising accountant (CPA) qualification?How many years of public practice accounting experience do you have?
