Bakery Operations Manager

ConnectAPAC are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing wholesale bakery as we commence the search for a Bakery Operations Manager. The business is backed by a larger food group and is going through some exciting changes with new systems and processes being implemented to support growth.The role:Reporting to the General Manager, the Bakery Operations Manager is a senior leadership position where you'll will be responsible for overseeing both the day-to-dayoperations and some of the overall operational strategy to support growth, with a key focus on developing skills, quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Manage the Bakery, Pastry & Packing roster to ensure the department budgets are metImplement processes to track, manage and reduce wasteEnsure the company standard of quality is met and implement corrective actions when needed.Assist with matters of compliance, including HACCP, OH&S, NSW Food Authority, First Aid & Fire SafetyOversee the production and packing roster and staff working to a approved weekly budget.Involvement with ingredients and packaging contract negotiation/suppliersAssistance with HACCP program maintenance, internal auditing & documentationLiaise with Pastry and Bakery teams on daily work flow of production and planningLiaise with Sales team in regards to special customer requests and delivery detailsLiaise with Customer Service & Bakery Manager daily regarding necessary action required for any specific quality issue or product shortages'Must have' experience:Must come from a baking background.
