Overall Role Purpose
The Customs Broker is responsible for:Executing customs entries; and monitoring regulatory updates and ensuring compliance of customs applications within the latest regulations.Accountabilities Customer, Other Stakeholder & Process.Bills customers for services.Resolves customer issues, handles, and solves incidents (e.g., escalations, disputes) appropriately closely with the customer.Ensures good relationships with Customs authorities and other required counterparts.Manages dispatch/delivery processes.Classifies items based on given specifications.Skills / Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in a Licensed Customs broker role (advantageous).Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics in general.Able to work independently.Follow origin & destination government requirements.Adaptable to changes daily due to customer & airlines requests.High degree of reliability and attention to detail.Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.Be results driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills.Why DHL?
