Local and Indigenous Engagement CoordinatorLocal and Indigenous Engagement CoordinatorDue to significant growth and recently securing a number of major WA Infrastructure projects, Georgiou is seeking an experienced Local & Indigenous Participation Coordinator.
Working within our project teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and support to maximise Indigenous employment, procurement, and community outcomes on our projects.What We Are Seeking:Previous experience in a similar role within the Civil Construction industryExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenPrevious experience with Indigenous communities and businessesStrong IT skillsGood time management skillsAbility to work unsupervised and within a teamWhat To Expect in This Role:Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers to assist in driving Indigenous outcomes on projects, including procurement, cultural and community commitmentsSupport Indigenous recruitment and develop strategies to increase employment, retention and trainingMentor Indigenous trainees, apprentices and employees to maximise retention and career prospectsWork with Indigenous Subcontractors to assist them in understanding the commercial requirements of projectsLiaise with relevant stakeholders to provide employment and training opportunities for Indigenous people seeking Cadetships, Scholarships, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and direct employmentWork with the local community and internal stakeholders to celebrate Indigenous culture and educationSupport projects to develop capacity to meet Indigenous employment and procurement targetsProvide reports and status updates on Indigenous employment, procurement and engagement targetsManage Government training fund administrationWhat We Can Offer:Competitive salary packagePaid parental leaveFlexible work arrangements availableGrowing business with exciting career development opportunitiesThe opportunity to work with a diverse and engaged group of peopleGeorgiou is committed to an inclusive workforce and strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.Please visit our website for more information at www.georgiou.com.au and apply via the link or through our website.
