Job Title: Executive Director Strategic Planning, InfrastructureMetropolitan Memorial Parks (MMP) is a newly consolidated cemeteries and crematoria operator for Crown Land.
The organisation oversees the management of eight Memorial Parks encompassing 400 hectares across the Sydney and Newcastle regions and employs approximately 280 staff.
These cemeteries require innovative management as they approach full capacity.
In collaboration with the NSW Government, MMP is focused on the acquisition and development of new and existing sites to address critical future needs.
About the RoleThe Executive Director Strategic Planning, Infrastructure and Assets is a critical role that will significantly contribute to shaping the future of memorial parks while preserving the rich historical and cultural significance of these remarkable locations.
The Executive Director leads and directs the property and development strategy, capital infrastructure program, and asset management framework of Metropolitan Memorial Parks.
This role involves working on both ground-breaking and land optimisation projects that address critical supply issues and reimagines what a cemetery can be for the community.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop MMP's property strategy to meet critical short-term land requirements for memorial parks and related infrastructure.Develop MMP's long-term land acquisition strategy and framework.Develop and deliver detailed master plans.Lead and manage a varied program of capital infrastructure projects, including new developments, building, and infrastructure improvements.Ensure all programs and projects meet the sustainability expectations of the NSW government.Coordinate the capital project management governance framework and ensure projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to standard.Lead the development and implementation of MMP's asset management strategy.Provide overall direction and efficient management of facilities and infrastructure maintenance services.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
Senior leadership experience with a complex organisation/division delivering multi-faceted programs.Experience across strategic planning and development of infrastructure and land.Experience with diverse capital infrastructure programs, asset, and facilities management.Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and transformational change.Skills in building and sustaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.Understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks governing environmental planning and development.Strong financial, procurement, and risk management acumen.Central government agency service provision would be highly regarded.
