ARA has approximately 3,000 employees working across our four operating Divisions: Fire & Security, Electrical, Property Services, and Products.About the roleAs the Compliance Manager at ARA Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation operates in line with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Based in our Crows Nest office in NSW, this full-time position reports directly to the CEO.What you'll be doingImplementing and monitoring compliance policies and procedures to mitigate legal and regulatory risksTracking changes in relevant legislation and industry regulations and proactively updating the company's compliance approachConducting audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of compliance measures and identify areas for improvementProviding expert guidance and support to departments on compliance-related mattersPreparing comprehensive compliance reports for the CEOManaging complex payroll tax compliance, including managing multi-state tax compliance requirementsOverseeing subcontractor and employee classification complianceConducting regular internal audits and risk assessmentsCollaborating with legal, operations, finance, and senior management teamsMonitoring subcontractor payment compliance, including verifying accurate classification of workers (employees vs. subcontractors) and monitoring payment schedules and contractual payment termsImplementing controls to prevent payroll discrepancies and misclassificationWhat we're looking forExtensive experience (8+ years) in a compliance role, ideally within the trades industryThorough understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including workplace health and safety, environmental protection, and quality assuranceDemonstrated ability to develop and implement effective compliance frameworksExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detailStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and persuadeTertiary qualifications in Finance, law, business, or a related fieldWhat we offerAt ARA Group, we offer a competitive salary, generous benefits, and a supportive, collaborative work environment.Apply now to join our team and take the next step in your compliance career.Direct applicants only - No recruitment agencies please#J-18808-Ljbffr
