Applications are sought for the following position: Bus Manager - Pimpama Campus Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for: Coordination of all bus operations, including route, school and charter services.
Ensure drivers depart on time at the commencement of all shifts.
Maintaining effective recruitment & selection to ensure a full complement of drivers and administration staff.
Coaching team members and developing their performance, offering feedback, and demonstrating the desired skills and expected work ethic within your team.
Providing after hours support to key personnel in events of emergencies.
Generation and maintenance of rosters that are compliant with current EBA.
Overseeing, and processing, weekly payroll for Bus Department.
Assisting with the investigation of accidents, and the finalisation of any claims arising.
End to end handling of parent/public complaints.
Liaising with external stakeholders, parents, principals, administration staff and management.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Commercial experience managing budgets would be highly desirable.
Demonstrated prior experience in transport or related industry.
Demonstrate hands-on leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
A sound understanding of WHS regulations and practices.
Understanding of, and a commitment to, a safe, compliant working culture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comprehensive computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Word and Excel software.
Experience in the transport service industry or a similar related field.
(desirable)?? An understanding of the Bus Safety Act, and Bus Safety Regulations.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience in coordinating, managing and/or scheduling operations across teams and facilities would be highly advantageous.
Blue Card essential (or ability to obtain one).
This is a Full Time/Term Time position, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm.

King's LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) offers places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
