Work type: Full Time (Max Term) 38 hours per week Schedule: Ability to participate in a 24/7 roster. Various shifts between Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays, as required.

About the Role We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysersPre and post-analytical specimen handlingIdentification and prioritisation of urgent specimensFiling and storage of specimens and data entryAssisting Scientists in the Lab as requiredContinuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different testsStaying up to date with processing updatesRespond to result, sample requirements and general queriesIdentifying and resolving problems at the pre-analytic stageAbout You To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
Specimen processing and data entry experienceExcellent customer service and communication skillsThe ability to cope and thrive in a busy environmentAbility to work with minimal supervision and work as a teamUnderstanding the importance of following procedures accuratelyA willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and proceduresPrevious laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essentialCertificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirableBenefits and Wellbeing As part of working for Healius, you will have access to a range of benefits including:
